The testimony “Texas public policy Foundation” is mainly about Texas Property Taxes that have been growing faster than average. Most people in Texas don’t have any more money to pay for their Property Taxes because those taxes are already too much to pay. Texas has the craziest property system in the nation. Most property holders and businesses are being kicked out of their homes or running out of money because they cannot afford their property taxes.  Sixty-seven percent of voters in the 2018 Republican primary election agreed that property taxes should be replaced with a sales tax. I think that is a great idea, because a sales tax would not take as much money from people and school districts as property tax.
Governor Rick Perry created The Texas Tax Reform Commission that devised a plan to reduce property tax rates while Increasing state funding of education. A good example of a property tax is one of my friends who had a house. Each year she had to pay a property tax, and each year the tax was increasing, and she could not do anything about it. She was just going to wait to pay it until the tax collector insisted. Texas has a big issue, a big problem with property taxes and they should do something about it. Numbers of people have had great trouble paying for their property taxes. Many people have lost a lot of money, and numbers of people became homeless. Texas should do something about property taxes because people are losing money and this can lead to a disaster.

On April 5, 2019 my classmate Jaz Pintar blogged “Our Education Is in Trouble!” Here are my thoughts on the article. I chose this blog post because one blog that I did over this semester was regarding school the funding system. I honestly agree with you Jaz Pintar that nothing has changed with Texas school funding system. We keep on trying to beg the Texas legislature to give more money to schools to let children have a good educational system, but nothing is changing. I totally agree with your augment; Texas has not done anything to improve our educational system for future students, but they spend millions of dollars on standardized tested, hindering the public educational system for future generations. I enjoy reading your article because I felt the same way about education, and I really think that Texas should think more about funding it.
