Nearly 700,000 young undocumented immigrants have been saved from deportation under DACA, which is a program that was created by Barack Obama in 2012. Since Donald Trump entered office, he has decided to eliminate DACA and give Congress six months to take action and come up with a new plan. Congress has not taken any actions and all the young immigrants’ lives are on hold. Congress should take action and all its members should give the dreamers a hope to live. DACA should be saved. The members of the House should pass legislation that allows the young immigrants to live the American Dream with nothing to force them to get deported. A good example of an immigrated person is one of my friends who was an undocumented immigrant. She was a great person with a wonderful personality. She was a hardworking and full-time student. One day she called me and said, “I am getting deported.”  I was very sad for her and wanted to help, so I introduced her to one of the lawyers that I knew in town. I wanted him to help her, and he did. I was so happy for her; I think no one should suffer the way my friend did. It is wrong to just deport people who have lives in the United States, and have families. I think Ken Paxton is not a good man because he is against DACA. He was the one who told the Federal judge to strike down Obama-era deportation protections for immigrants. He wants to just deport people, and that is just wrong.
